Chameleon Club

A Club Like No Other

A club where, when you walk in, you know half the crowd—and want to know the other half.

Inside the Chameleon Club lounge

Chameleon Club is a private, invite-only club in the famous Long Room at Two Unity Alley, in the heart of historic Charleston—for those who appreciate gathering, discretion, and the quiet confidence of a well-made drink.

Inside, Members move easily between an art-lined gallery, a martini bar built for lingering, intimate meeting spaces, and rooms that nod to another era. The atmosphere is deliberate: low light, exceptional music, swivel chairs that invite you to stay longer than intended, and martinis done properly.

Chameleon Club is not open to the public. Membership is extended by invitation only, with approval held carefully. We release a limited number of memberships over time.

Our Space

Some spaces are designed. Others are inherited.

Chameleon Club resides within the Long Room at No. 2 Unity Alley—a structure dating to the late 18th century, originally built as a formal gathering space above a working kitchen and courtyard. In 1789, it hosted dinners for the Society of the Cincinnati and welcomed President George Washington during his Southern tour. Today, it remains what it was always intended to be: a place for people to gather.
