Chameleon Club

A Club Like No Other

A club where, when you walk in, you know half the crowd—and want to know the other half.

Inside the Chameleon Club lounge

Chameleon Club is a private, invite-only dinner and cocktail club set within Charleston's historic Long Room at 2 Unity Alley. In 1789, this room welcomed President George Washington during his Southern tour. Today, it is once again what it was always meant to be: a place for remarkable people to gather.

The Space

Designed for conversation, comfort, and a little theater.

Inside: soaring ceilings, chandeliers, art-lined rooms, lounge seating built for lingering, a full bar, exceptional music, four distinct dining spaces, and three lounges—all designed for conversation, comfort, and a little theater.

Our Space

Some spaces are designed. Others are inherited.

Chameleon Club resides within the Long Room at No. 2 Unity Alley—a structure dating to the late 18th century, originally built as a formal gathering space above a working kitchen and courtyard. In 1789, it hosted dinners for the Society of the Cincinnati and welcomed President George Washington during his Southern tour. Today, it remains what it was always intended to be: a place for people to gather.
